Twelve-week randomized trial in postmenopausal women that found no statistically significant change in bone mineral density with daily moringa leaf powder, with the short study duration noted as a likely limitation.
Food intervention study in adults aged 60–79 in which moringa "responders" showed cognitive improvement alongside distinct gut bacteria profiles, suggesting an individual's gut microbiome may influence whether moringa affects cognition.
Athletic Performance & Recovery
Pilot study in 44 healthy young adult males in which 30 days of moringa leaf aqueous extract improved push-up counts and treadmill exhaustion performance versus placebo, alongside favorable changes in energy-metabolism and oxidative-stress markers.
Double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in 26 male endurance runners given moringa seed powder in juice three days a week for eight weeks; the moringa group improved 10 km run time and lowered malondialdehyde (a marker of oxidative stress), while other antioxidant enzyme markers showed no significant change.

Study in 34 active adults reporting that a moringa leaf powder infusion improved total work output, time-trial performance and pedaling rate during a 20 km cycling time trial. Newer work that has not completed full peer review, so best treated as an early signal.
Animal (rat) forced-swimming study in which moringa leaf aqueous extract extended maximum swimming time and reduced markers of oxidative damage, providing the mechanistic basis referenced across the human performance research.
